Gifted and Talented (G&T)
Most schools already have a leading teacher for G&T pupils and they will be supported by regular updates and CPD.
The focus of support is on pedagogy for personalisation and increasing challenge and opportunity in the classroom to enable all pupils to identify and develop their particular strengths, gifts or talents.
Resources for your lead teacher are available at the following sites:

‘The National Strategies team has assisted my department in many ways, providing productive subject leader development meetings that allow HoDs to support each other as well as finding out about the latest curriculum developments.
‘Effective support has been provided to the whole department via targeted INSET for individuals at all stages of their teaching career and constructive advice is always available via email or phone. I know I can rely on the Secondary Strategy team to assist me whenever I contact them.’
Helen Triggs, Head of Department (Science), Rosemary Musker High School.
